Terms of Service
By using AfterSunday, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English so you can actually read them. If anything is unclear, write to us. We'd rather explain than hide behind small print.
Who we are
AfterSunday is operated by AfterSunday, Inc., a California corporation. References to "we", "us", and "AfterSunday" mean the company; "you" means the person using the service.
Your account
- You must be 13 or older to create an account.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe.
- Don't impersonate someone else, and don't create accounts on behalf of others without permission.
How you use AfterSunday
You agree not to:
- Use the service to harass, defame, or harm anyone in your community.
- Post content that's illegal, hateful, or sexually explicit.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or otherwise interfere with how AfterSunday works.
- Misuse the AI features. They're a tool for ministry, not for impersonation, deception, or activity outside the spirit of the platform.
Priests, deacons, and parish administrators have additional responsibilities around AI-generated content. The system is designed so nothing speaks on your behalf without your approval, and we expect you to use that approval thoughtfully.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. By submitting content (posts, prayer requests, comments, configurations) you grant AfterSunday a worldwide, royalty-free license to host and display that content so we can run the service. We do not claim ownership over your words.
What AfterSunday is, and isn't
AfterSunday is a community tool. It is not a substitute for sacraments, confession, counsel, or pastoral care. AI replies are drafted under the supervision of a real priest and are not theological pronouncements of the Church.
Subscriptions and payment
Some features (parish administration, advanced analytics) require a paid plan. Prices, billing cycles, and refund terms are shown at checkout. We'll never charge you for a renewal without making the renewal date clearly visible in your account.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from settings. We can suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms. We'll tell you why when we do, except where the abuse itself prevents that (e.g., security incidents).
Disclaimers and liability
We provide AfterSunday "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AfterSunday's total liability for any claim arising from these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page and, where appropriate, announced by email.
